#15 A true Rat Terrier is characterized by their fiery temperament combined with sensitivity and a strong will-to-please – they want to please their owner and will do anything to boost group morale.
Thus, the country dog can easily adapt to an urban environment or even life as an office dog if he gets enough exercise during the day and is meaningfully employed. But the rat dogs prefer to roam the open terrain and look for bugs: the larger the property (and thus the space to run), the better.
