Play tag, take him on long walks, or get him involved in dog sports like agility or flyball. With enough daily exercise, you will ensure that his behavior stays good. A tired boxer is a good boxer. Training is essential for the boxer.
#15 He is so large and strong that he can accidentally knock people over if he is not taught to control his actions. The boxer’s temperament plays a large part in his trainability. He is cheerful and enthusiastic, hilarious and somewhat mischievous.
You need to start training early, be strict, and use fair training methods with positive reinforcement in the form of praise, play and food rewards to get him to take the training seriously. Be consistent. Your boxer will notice whenever you let him get away with something and will test his limits to see what else he can do.
Before taking him to dog training school, calm him down a bit with an energetic walk or play. Then he will be able to concentrate better. Patience is key when it comes to housebreaking.
Some are housebroken within 4 months of life, others cannot really be trusted until 7 months or even 1 year. Walk your boxer regularly and give him lots of praise when he does his business outside. Dog crate training is recommended.
