#7 In 1981, a Saint Bernard called Benedictine V Schwarzwald Hof won a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. This dog came from Pierson, Michigan, and weighed a staggering 315 pounds.

#8 There are also reports from an 1895 edition of the New York Times that reports a dog measuring eight feet and six inches. If this report is true, then the Saint Bernard, called Major F., would be the longest dog in the world

#9 There are many examples of the Saint Bernard appearing in the media, but ‘Beethoven’ is one of the best examples of these as this breed of dog played the starring role.
