So always watch your children when playing with their four-legged friends. Also, explain the importance of always being careful with the small dog and not picking it up or being rude. He is not a stuffed animal or a toy. At best, children in the house are a bit older. From school age, there are rarely problems.
If the children are a bit older, they can take the Chihuahua for a walk. With large and heavy breeds, this is often not feasible and children are quickly overwhelmed. However, light Chi can also be handled very well by large children and young people. Walks should always be accompanied by the parents with a watchful eye.
Of course, other duties can also be taken on in an age-appropriate manner. Small children can fill the water bowl, gently brush the dog, play with it or bring the leash.
