It is recommended not to keep him with cats. The Dogo Canario is less of a danger than the cat. With its sharp claws, it can quickly cause serious injury to the dog’s eyes.
He treats the children of his own family lovingly and acts as a great protector. Even with seniors, the dog has no problems.
