#13 In October 1972, the breed was allowed to register Bichons in the AKC Studbook.

#14 In April 1973 the breed was admitted to the regular show classification in the Non-Sporting Group.

#15 As for the distribution of the breed, the favorites of Francis I reached the United States only in the 50s of the last century, and in England they began to breed Bichons only in the mid-70s.
