How To Draw A Monkey

There are many different types of monkeys. Some even keep a monkey as a pet. The monkey in this guide is a chimpanzee. How to draw it:

Start with the monkey’s head. Draw a pear shape or circle.

The ears are large circles on the right and left of the head. Small dashes in the circles indicate the pinna.

Now comes the face. Big black googly eyes are especially cute. Draw this in the middle of the head.

Below that are two small semicircles for nostrils and a long line for the big smile.

Draw three loose strands of hair on the monkey’s head. On the forehead it gets an inverted, pointed triangle, which symbolizes the typical coat growth of a chimpanzee.

The torso is about twice the size of the head and pear-shaped. Don’t forget the belly button. Tip: A small inner circle on the stomach makes the drawing a little livelier.

Add the limbs. Draw two long sausages for the arms and two for the legs. You can decide whether the monkey waves, sits, or stands.

Last but not least, draw the monkey tail in the lower torso area. The longer and more sinuous, the funnier it looks.
