Dog in Bed Helps Women Sleep Better

What is an absolute taboo for many dog owners, provides the perfect night’s sleep for others: a dog in bed. However, research shows that a dog in bed provides better sleep, especially for women. However: cats interfere with rest no less than humans.

Three US researchers studied the sleep satisfaction of about 1,000 pet owners. Among the participants were single people and people living in partnership.

Research Shows: Dogs are Better for Women Than Men

The first result of the researchers is that women, in particular, would sleep better if the dog was lying next to them, and not their partner.

Overall, 55 percent of those surveyed said they let their dog go to bed. However, only 31 percent allow their cat to cuddle at night.

The researchers found that the dog as a sleeping partner was the least worried about it. Research in a sleep laboratory is needed to make the results more specific.
