#16 Tooth misalignments & diseases
Due to the shortening of the upper jaw, the bit does not close properly! The animals have problems biting and the teeth do not wear out. Often there is even not enough space in the jaw. Misaligned teeth followed by pain and even tooth loss can be the result.

The reason for this is the changed and compressed vertebrae (wedge vertebrae), which usually cause problems in the lower back.

The sweet curly tail is probably to blame here too! Spina bifida is an abnormal development of the nervous system (neural tube defect) in the embryonic phase. Depending on the extent of this misdevelopment, the consequences range from initial symptoms of lameness to paralysis.
