Gentle Sheepdog – Bearded Collie
The Bearded Collie is one of the shepherd dogs. The name means something like “Bearded Collie” in German.
This herding dog originated in the Scottish highlands. He is also known there under the name Highland Collie. Due to the Scottish weather conditions, a hardy dog with a thick coat had to be bred.
In its homeland, the Bearded Collie is still used today as a herding dog, for independently driving and finding stray cattle.

It is an active and friendly dog that does not show any aggressiveness. It is well suited as a family dog. He is very fond of children and playful until old age.

The representatives of this breed have a quick comprehension so that you can teach them a lot. He likes to perform tricks. But this intelligence also challenges you as the owner, because the dog needs a lot of attention and activity.
When training, you should always remain lovable, just like the dogs of this breed are. They do not tolerate harshness or shouting well.
