Make sure that the puppies have been well socialized by the breeder and let your little Sheltie have many positive experiences with other dogs and people to prevent corresponding deficits.
#5 Most Shelties are up for dog sports such as agility, but they are also enthusiastic about jogging, bike tours and similar activities.
#6 Shelties come in many attractive colors.
Health problems can affect the skin (particularly autoimmune diseases) and the eyes. Cryptorchidism can occur in Shelties: affected males have one or both testicles remaining in the abdominal cavity. Such dogs should be neutered. When buying a male puppy, make sure you can feel both testicles.
