Many dogs can be fussy with the food, without there being anything wrong. Often it is because you “pampered” the dog, it has been learned that if it refuses food, it gets better food served. It is important to be patient.
An adult dog can go without food for a whole day without getting hurt, provided it drinks normally.
The competition is good. If you have a food-loving dog next door, the fussy dog usually eats better.
Make sure the dog gets enough stimulation. A dog that is physically active becomes hungrier.
Do not give sweets or human food on the side unnecessarily. Let the dog “work” for his candy. If it is also full of sweets, it will not be so hungry for its usual food.
If you are worried that the dog does not want to eat, you can try flavor enhancers. You can also try with blood. It is often found in the freezer counter and is used, among other things, for blood pudding.
