Although they are quite intelligent dogs, in their stubbornness they can sometimes seem stupid. Sometimes it can end very badly – the dog may even go on a hunger strike to defend its position. Quite often, the Pekingese chooses one person from the whole family, whom he “appoints” as his master.
The relationship with children is twofold – on the one hand, the Pekingese can relate normally to children, on the other hand, if the child allows careless behavior during the game, the dog can react suddenly and violently. She can even bite a child. Therefore, it is not recommended to have them in houses where there are children under 5 years old, as they do not control themselves well during the game. Pekingese loves walks and active games on the street, but can quite spend a lot of time at home in a calm state.
