In everyday language, the word pit bull is a synonym for “fighting dog”. In the US, this refers to the American Pit Bull Terrier breed. In Europe, on the other hand, Pitbull dogs are not recognized as a separate breed and do not have it easy otherwise. The strong four-legged friends are something very special.
#1 At first glance, the pit bull and its European relative, the American Staffordshire Terrier or Amstaff, look almost exactly alike.
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a muscular, compact dog that weighs around 27 kilograms with a shoulder height of up to 53 centimeters.

#3 Cruel dog fights and irresponsible owners have brought the pit bull into disrepute.
In fact, poorly socialized pit bulldogs can exhibit high levels of aggression toward people and animals. Because they are fearless and the way they used to be bred - namely "fight ready".
