Cheerful, bright, and loving – that’s how you could describe the Havanese. Due to its size, it is assigned to dwarf dogs, but its temperament should not be underestimated. The Bichon Havanais – as it is also known – is very well suited as a companion for city or country and with its friendly nature livens up every family, no matter how large it is.

#3 Because of his tobacco-colored coat of fur, he was wrongly assigned to the capital of Cuba, Havana.
He owes his name to this circumstance. The old Havanese bloodline is extinct in Cuba, however, some offspring have been smuggled out of the country, allowing them to be bred in the United States.
