15+ Things You’ll Only Understand If You Have an Australian Shepherd

This dog has a strong herding instinct. She loves to be part of the family and adores the company of her masters. At first, she can be reserved with strangers, so early socialization is extremely important. Continuous training and a combination of physical and mental activity are also important for the development of the dog. These dogs are often considered “Einsteins” in the canine world. They are active, quick to train and so hardy that they can tire even the most athletic owner. They enjoy all kinds of reward training, games and canine sports. Therefore, this breed needs an owner who can satisfy the dog’s enormous needs for exercise and mental stimulation. They bond closely with their owners and become ideal companions for an energetic and enthusiastic family that can provide the pet with the necessary lifestyle. Ideally, the main job of the dog should be, at least, similar to the process of grazing livestock – it is this activity, in general, that made this breed what it is now. There are so, so many reasons that Australian Shepherds are the best breed EVER, it’s going to be tough to fit them all in here but we’ll give it a go!
