#7 During the First World War, the number of these dogs was reduced by half, and the Second World War brought the Cane Corso to the brink of survival.

Large dogs consumed a lot of food and were simply not fed, as there was not enough food for people.

#8 The breed was saved by the Italian Giovanni Nice, who gathered the remaining dogs from all over the Iberian Peninsula and created the world’s first kennel.

#9 On October 18, 1983, Professor Fernando Casalino, Jean Antonio Sereni, Dr. Stefano Gandolfi, Giancarlo and Luciano Malavasi created the Society of Cane Corso Lovers, which has carried out extensive research work in the south and north of Italy.
