#14 The first competition, in which boarders participated, was held in Wales in 1873, then in 1876. In 1906, the first international competition of dogs of this breed took place in Scotland.

#15 In the ranking of herding breeds, the boarders are in 4th place, behind the Australian Kelpie, Bernese Mountain Dog and the White Swiss Shepherd Dog.
