Mountain wolves and ancient dogs are considered the ancestors of the Lhasa beauties. Beliefs say that they are not real happiness, their name, according to one of the interpretations of the translation, means “a statue of peace, prosperity.” The name can also be translated as “like goats” or “dogs from Lhasa with a beard.”
