#10 By 1904, the first position of the Goldens in field trials was recorded in the protocol.

#11 Among the first Goldens shown in trials were the C. Brass and C. Copper, which were the first in trials in 1908, and are descended from Lord Tweedmouth’s family of dogs.

#12 In 1911, the Golden Retriever Club of England was formed, and the Kennel Club recognized the Golden Retrievers as a separate breed and called it at first the “Yellow or Golden Retriever”.
