Because it also applies to this breed: A reputable breeder is the best investment in your dog's health. Otherwise, the Coton de Tuléar is a very sturdy little dog. Especially in summer, make sure that it doesn't get too warm under the soft fur and give it access to a cool spot.

The cotton-soft coat needs daily brushing or it becomes matted. Tip: Always dampen your Coton's hair with a grooming spray, for example, before brushing. This prevents the fine hair from breaking during grooming.
