At the top of his list of priorities are varied exercise and employment opportunities that challenge him both physically and mentally. The temperamental and eager-to-learn dog cannot stand boredom.

Love, trust, and understanding of the typical terrier characteristics are the best basis for this. On the other hand, with excessive force (or even violence), the Airedale will become more stubborn and probably do the opposite of what was intended.
#9 The Airedale Terrier is an excellent family dog thanks to its even-tempered nature and keen sense of all kinds of games.
As such, it is not only a lot of fun for children, but also for adults.
