Regarding the coat of hair, two types are distinguished: “Hairless” and “Powder Puff”. The “Hairless” variant is not completely hairless, but usually has a tuft on the head, flags on the legs, and feathering on the tail, which can be sparse to full.

#1 The “Powder Puff” variant has long, silky top coat with undercoat all over the body.

#2 Both types require regular grooming and trimming to keep the fine hair from growing too long and becoming matted or blocking the dog’s field of vision.
