#7 Brush your bulldog’s soft, fine, short-haired coat once a week, using a stiff-bristle brush.
Wipe his face daily with a damp cloth, pay attention to the inside of the folds. Dry the inside of the pleats completely after washing them.
#8 Some people recommend wiping the inside of the creases with a baby wipe that contains lanolin and aloe vera.
Should your Bulldog's skin become irritated in the folds, ask your vet for a soothing ointment. After washing the wrinkles, wash your bulldog's nose as well and apply petroleum jelly to keep it soft and from drying out and flaking.
#9 The bulldog sheds moderately. If you find the time to brush them more than once a week, it will greatly reduce the amount of hair on your clothes and furniture.
Other care needs include nail care and dental hygiene. Trim your bulldog's nails once or twice a month. If you hear them clicking on the ground, then the claws are too long. The sooner you get your bulldog used to clipping your nails, the less stressful the experience will be for both of you later.
