#4 The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog has largely retained its characteristics as a watchdog and draft dog: the dogs are always self-confident, alert and fearless on the outside – at the same time loyal, affectionate and loving towards their family.
#5 As with all Sennenhund breeds, attachment to the family is of the utmost importance for the Greater Swiss.
Isolation or kennel behavior contradicts the nature of these social dogs, which literally wither away without the possibility of attachment.
#6 Many of the representatives of the breed still have a passion for pulling and do all kinds of pulling work with pride and enthusiasm.
Despite their size, they are agile, lively dogs with high endurance.
