It is believed that these Techichis were later crossed with small dogs imported from China. The result of this crossing is probably the Chihuahua. Historical documents show that this dog was first discovered around 1850 in the Mexican province of Chihuahua. Originally wild, Chihuahuas were then captured and domesticated. They then made their way to Europe via the USA in a short time and can now be found all over the world.
