As the name suggests, the origin of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel goes back to the royal courts in England. King Charles II was so attached to his dogs that it almost became an addiction. They traveled everywhere with him and the sign ‘Caution Dog’ is from his farm. That’s not to say they’re dangerous, but rather: don’t step on them. Contrary to popular belief, they do not have free access to all the royal parks, palaces, and public buildings in England – they just pretend!
