Australian Shepherds need about 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day, preferably filled with strenuous activities such as playing Frisbee. They also need a dedicated activity, such as daily obedience training, or participating in herding competitions and agility courses.
If not given the exercise and mental stimulation they need, Australian Shepherds can be very destructive and bark for a long time.
